She has led extensive research in asset monitoring and digitalisation, publishing over 130 scholarly works and earning multiple accolades, including Researcher of the Year (2021, 2022, 2023) and the Western Ventures Impact Prize (2023).
Currently, she serves as Deputy Director of UTRC and leads the Structural Engineering and Health Monitoring (SAHM) team at CIE, managing various research and consulting projects.

Dr. Vahid Mousavi is a Researcher at the Center for Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) at Western Sydney University with a strong background in Geomatics Engineering. His research focuses on advancing structural health monitoring and management of bridges and other civil infrastructure assets, specifically through the integration of digital twining technologies, machine learning, laser scanning, precise measurement and 3D reconstruction using drone photogrammetry. His research contributions in these areas have been published in top Q1 journals within the field.
Through the integration of advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence, he has developed practical solutions for the bridge health monitoring and Decision Support Systems (DSS) to enhance infrastructure monitoring and asset management strategies. Dr Mousavi is also a member of the Structural Engineering and Health Monitoring (SAHM) team at Western Sydney University and has been involved in several research and consulting projects.
